Family Law Children
I am the firm’s managing director and head of the family department.
I have management responsibilities and roles, including maintaining our contract with the Legal Aid Agency.
Having started out as a trainee at Peace & Co in 1996, I have developed a specialism in issues relating to child protection law.
I now represent children, their parents, and families in cases where social services are involved. Many of those cases are complex.
I have been a continual member of the Law Society Children Panel since 2003 and have represented children since 2010.
I have helped Peace Legal become the firm it is today. This starts with finding and keeping really great colleagues and bringing out the best in them. Everyone receives training to keep us up to date with developments. This helps us maintain the high level of service expected from a law firm.
I also work hard to maintain our professional reputation, which can be seen in our client feedback. Offering clients, clarity, honesty, and value are all important to me.
I am proud of who we are, what we do and where we are going. My hope is that the firm will continue to grow and serve the people of Barnsley and beyond for years to come.
When I am not in the office, I try to be outdoors as much as possible. I run a smallholding and am developing a cider apple orchard.
